Workshop · Ages 13 to 17 · 60 minutes
Teach safer online decisions through real situations.
A ready-to-run workshop that helps young people recognize online harm, practice safer responses, and know when to get help. Built for school counselors, youth programs, and after-school groups.

Everything a facilitator needs. Nothing to build from scratch.
Slides
30 slides with full speaker notes, in PowerPoint and PDF.
Facilitator guide
Minute-by-minute run of show, what to say and ask, anticipated answers, and what to do when discussion stalls.
Six scenario cards
Plus two bonus scenarios for a longer session or a follow-up.
Worksheets
Where's the Line, a Group Decision Sheet, and Write It for Real. Readable in black and white.
Knowledge check
Seven questions and a practical written scenario, with an answer key and guidance for reading responses.
Certificates
Editable Certificate of Completion, in Word and fillable PDF.
Handouts
A two-page take-home sheet and a parent and caregiver guide.
Safeguarding guidance
Disclosures, threats, self-harm, and sexual images of minors, including AI-generated ones.
Situations teens recognize, with choices that are genuinely hard.
Every option is tempting for a real reason. Sometimes the safer move is blocking, reporting, or getting an adult, not being nice to the person causing harm.
The Other Chat
A group chat that excludes and mocks a classmate.
Forwarded
A private message, screenshotted and spreading.
It Isn't Real
An AI-generated image used to humiliate someone.
It Keeps Coming
Harassment that gets around blocks and turns into a threat.
Next in Line
A bystander who's afraid of becoming the next target.
Getting Even
Wanting to retaliate after being humiliated.
Participants will practice how to
- Tell disagreement, teasing, bullying, harassment, and threats apart.
- Recognize when a group chat is causing harm, including through exclusion.
- Run three quick checks before responding: danger, spread, support.
- Support someone being targeted without becoming the next target.
- Know when to save evidence, and when not to.
- Name trusted adults and the situations that need one right away.

Questions
Who runs it?
Your own counselor, teacher, or youth worker. No special training is needed. The guide says what to say, what to ask, and what to listen for. Plan on about 15 minutes of reading and setup, plus printing.
How many participants?
The license covers one purchasing organization delivering the workshop to up to 25 participants. Contact us for larger groups.
Is it accredited?
No. The Certificate of Completion confirms attendance and completion of the knowledge check. It isn't a professional credential or accredited course.
What does Kind Whisper see about our students?
Nothing. You run the workshop and keep any worksheets and assessments. We never receive participant names or answers.
Is it a substitute for our safeguarding procedures?
No. The guide supports your procedures and tells facilitators to follow them. It isn't therapy, legal advice, or an emergency service.
Can we edit it?
Yes, for your setting: names, local contacts, platform names, and reading level. Keep the safety guidance accurate. You can't resell it or post it publicly.
Is it US-specific?
The resources listed (911, 988, NCMEC) are for the United States. Organizations elsewhere should replace them with local services.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Email hello@kindwhisper.com with your organization's details.
Not sure it fits your group?
Email us what you're seeing with your students and we'll tell you honestly whether this workshop is the right tool.
